INDIVIDUAL SESSION ONLY
No matter what series you practice, we all do the same fundamental asanas every day. In this session, we will work with the subtleties of breath, bandha, gaze and movement that build up the meditative quality of our practice. We will detail vinyasa counts and dig deeper into our personal relationship with the important work that happens in these standing postures. We will finish the session with a short meditation on why we should show up on our mat everyday and what might be revealed through this practice in self inquiry.
INDIVIDUAL SESSION ONLY
Mysore is a traditional method where you learn the Ashtanga sequence at your own pace through a n assisted self practice. This method offers semi-privates in the group setting, encouraging individual responsibility for your own practice with the support and help of your teacher. Students should be familiar with t h e Primary Series through a t least the standing poses in order to get the most out of Mysore practice with Joseph and Edgar.
INDIVIDUAL SESSION ONLY
In this workshop Joseph and Edgar will break down the traditional Ashtanga breathwork sequence, then offer an exploration of how relaxation response works in the breath, in yoga at large and how it calms the body. Learn about the history and foundations of breathwork and why it's so powerful, before Edgar guides you through some pranayama practice. Afterwards Joseph will teach you more about the interplay between the philosophy and science that underpins the transformative inner work of Ashtanga Yoga. This is an interactive, fun and practical journey into a more embodied yoga practice.
